An ANCO locknut is a hex nut with a ratchet pin running through the nut. It can also be recognizable for the manufacturing identification mark of a small slot cut into the side.
FunctionThe ANCO locknut's ratchet pin bites into the bolt threads and provides extra grip. The locknut is self-locking and can be added or removed with a normal wrench.
