HPD Cubicles are made of High Pressure Compact Laminated sheets with two decorative sides and a surface made of a decorative panel impregnated with melamine resin; its thickness (12-13 mm) is formed by Kraft paper sheets impregnated with phenolic resin.
The resulting paper is exposed to the combined effect of pressure (9 kegs./cm2) and temperature (150º) in presses where the polycondensation of resin takes places, providing them with all their properties. The sheet thus obtained is extraordinarily resistant to moisture, shocks, abrasion, scratching, cigarette burns. chemical attacks (its flat surfaces resist organic solvents, soft acids and bases, all well as most mineral compounds and household products) and is also a highly Effective electricity and temperature isolator. Solid Phenolic Core is a unique plastic material which is resistant to delamination even under severe steam, water, or hose down conditions; Sound-absorption and rigidity make it an excellent choice for both toilet and shower partitions. Matching waterproof counter tops are available to create a complete color coordinated installation.
